These terms govern your use of the Parametric website and application. By using either you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Parametric is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for informational and educational purposes. You may use it only where doing so is lawful in your jurisdiction and only if you are of legal age to enter into a binding agreement.
You agree not to interfere with the service, overload it, reverse engineer it for malicious purposes, or disrupt the public data source it relies on for currency conversion.
Parametric performs arithmetic on values that you enter. The following are explicitly not part of the service:
Saved calculations and preferences are stored locally in your browser. They are not transmitted to us and are not associated with any account, because no accounts exist.
Parametric does not operate as a futures commission merchant, retail foreign exchange dealer, introducing broker, commodity trading advisor or commodity pool operator. Because the service neither solicits nor accepts orders, nor holds customer funds, nor advises on the value of any transaction, it does not perform activity that requires registration with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission or membership of the National Futures Association.
Parametric is in development. As of the date at the top of this page it holds no NFA identification number and no registration with the CFTC or any other financial regulator. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that such registrations exist. Any identifier will be published in the footer of every page and in this section once it is issued.
Should Parametric later introduce regulated functionality, that functionality would be launched separately, subject to the applicable registration and compliance obligations in each jurisdiction where it is offered, and covered by revised terms published in advance.

Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage available can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade you should consider your investment objectives, level of experience and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment, and in some circumstances more than your deposited funds.
Nothing produced by this service is a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any instrument. Position sizes suggested by the calculator reflect only the inputs you provide and carry no view on whether a trade should be taken at all. You should seek advice from an independent, appropriately licensed financial adviser if you have any doubts.
The formulas used are the standard retail foreign exchange conventions: one pip equals 0.0001 of quote currency for most pairs and 0.01 for pairs quoted in Japanese yen or Hungarian forint; one standard lot equals 100,000 units of the base currency.
Real trading outcomes differ from these figures. Brokers apply their own spreads, swap and rollover charges, commission schedules, margin tiers, stop-out levels and rounding rules, and execution may occur at a price different from the one you enter. Slippage, gapping and requotes are not modelled. Treat every result as an estimate and verify it against your broker's own terms before committing capital.
Where a result must be expressed in an account currency different from the quote currency of the pair, Parametric applies a conversion rate. These are daily euro foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank and retrieved through a public endpoint. They are reference rates, not tradable prices, and are typically updated once each business day.
When the network is unavailable the application falls back to the most recently cached rates, or to a static reference table, and marks the state as offline in the interface. Those values are not current and should not be relied upon for anything beyond approximate sizing.
This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no cross-site tracking identifiers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The application writes three entries to your browser's local storage: parametric:prefs for your account currency and default risk and leverage, parametric:saved for calculations you explicitly save, and parametric:rates for the cached conversion table. All three stay on your device. You can remove them from the Saved screen or by clearing site data.
Installing the application also stores a cache of the interface files so it opens without a connection. That cache holds no personal data and is deleted when you uninstall or clear site data. The support form displays a local confirmation message and does not create a ticket or send anything to a server.
The Parametric name, logo, interface design, copy and source code are the property of Peca Bit LLC. Currency codes and pair names are industry standard identifiers used for description only, and their use implies no endorsement, partnership or affiliation with any exchange, broker or data provider.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Peca Bit LLC and its officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this service — including trading losses, losses arising from reliance on a calculated figure, service interruption, or errors and omissions in content.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms as the product develops. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
